Hey Michael…just a quickie about J. Legend. In which genre did John crossover to? His first album was strictly a soul album (and I don’t know if there were too many songs that got more airplay than “Ordinary People”) and his second album had a mixture of soul, R&B and even a Bossa Nova joint. That album didn’t have many singles that received alot of airplay. Aside from “Green Light” there weren’t any dance songs on Evolver. He did use more of a synthesized sound on some of his tracks, but other than that, it was a mellow album.
I understand the point that you are trying to make as far as Robin Thicke’s music is concerned, but J. Legend isn’t the artist that he should be compared to..

Lucky for Robin, I can still love him just from Cherry Blue Skies. I think he is a talent….and this new joint wastes it. It sucks but its not enough to make me forget that he’s a lot more than a puppet out to impress. He’s real. Sadly, everyone (minus my girl Teedra, Chrisette, Van Hunt and a few others who have no chance at platinum) is trying to give us what they THINK we want…and FAILING. Usher’s been doing that the last couple albums. Jay-Z. Even Lil Wayne (I quickly woke up and smelled the Tussin with that fool). I’m disappointed but I can just play his first album and pretend his foray into wackness with Nicki Lewinsky (FINALLY! someone hoochies can look up to) is just a bump in the road.

do you lisen to thicke? i dont think you do…you would love his 1st album. its a classic. and just because ppl dont buy the cd by the masses doesnt mean that the music is bad.

I was tempted to turn it off when Robin said “This my new joint” (I ain’t havin it!) but it was over when he started dancing and Ricky got up and decided to stroll right there in the office. I DON’T appreciate it! Give me back Alan Thicke’s boy, Lost Without you is as gangsta as I can take from him!
