At first, I was thinking maybe its just me being an "uppity negro" as I often am, but its getting ridiculous. I mean, whose approving and paying for this sh*t? I agree, this is a blatantly lazy way to reach out to Black youth and young adults. They're not even trying anymore. I need them to come better. I'm tired of ads stereotyping Blacks, then trying to convince me "look we get you, now come support us" whatever the cause may be, ie. fast food, politics. There are infinite variations within the Black community as in all communities. If these businesses could acknowledge these and possibly show case at least some of the varying cultures, opinions, and lifestyles, then maybe I could get behind a cause. Try to sell me whatever you want. Just don't insult my intelligence in the process.
