If You Say You’re Not Racist, Prove It

In my latest piece for Aol News, I gave the Tea Party the benefit of the doubt.
For well over a year now members of the group have denied accusations that they are a racist organization. Sure enough, founders of the group are more tied to libertarian ideology than classic American klansman philosophy, but that doesn’t negate they’ve allowed the buffoons of the country to hijack their movement because there is strength in numbers.
I really, really tried to be fair to the group despite wishing to send the whole lot of them to some deserted island. Those interested can let me know if I did a decent job. I’m pretty certain I’ll be seeing “you’re racist you black bastard” emails by mid-afternoon, though.
Click here to check out “Time for Tea Party Leaders to Act on Racism.” Yes, the title could be better. Leave me alone.

I went to work for Obama’s presidential campaign in the summer of 2007. I believe his presidency has been pretty close to flawless.
If he is not re-elected in 2012, it will be due in part to people like you who are alienating white voters.
Racism exists in virtually every corner of America. Having read some of your bullshit, I see you are thoroughly infected with it.
Before you post any more destructive bullshit, why don’t you examine your own words, and then write a piece in which you prove you are not a racist

You are so right on the money with this one. Jack Clark is full of shit. Your article wasn’t biased ad very fair, especially to admit that we are quick to slap a ‘racist’ label on things. Making logical statements like that can lead to getting your ‘Black Card’ revoked though. You’d better be careful with that ;D

I just heard you on the Rusty Humphries Radio Show.
It is interesting that even though “The Tea Party” is not even a group, people seem to want to make it into one. Are you wanting to convince people that “The Tea Party” needs to somehow be organized? Would that not open “it” up to the very racism that you are talking about?
To me, the effectiveness of “it” is strengthened by the fact that it is just people coming together in a common cause. No leader means no one can screw it up.
Through the past month I’ve heard and read some black folks making the claim that when whitey says he wants to “take America back”, he means he wants to take it back from the ‘black man’, referring to Barrack. I really don’t see how that belief can help anyone in any way. “Take America back” is kind of a strange phrase if you think about it. Some might say that it was taken from us but I think it is more a matter of we gave it away.
I thank you for you site and I will check back.
